No Honda Insurance for Northern Ireland

Honda riders were overwhelmed to read in this week’s Motorcycle News (MCN) about Honda UK’s competitive new insurance scheme for its customers. But the good news was short lived as Honda owner after owner contacted MAG to declare their disgust at queuing on the telephone for quite some time to be told in no uncertain terms that Honda will NOT be extending the new cover to Northern Ireland.

We believe that the three local Honda Dealers are being inundated with complaints as the heavy advertising campaign does not state anywhere, small print or otherwise that riders in Northern Ireland are being secluded.

One of the province’s dealers has declared that Honda UK’s Mathew Stone has apologised to his three dealers here but as yet there has been no press to inform Northern Ireland’s legion of Honda Riders. Surely a tremendous proportion of our 100,000 motorcyclists ride a Honda?

Sorry folks - but at this stage the local Honda Rep is unavailable to comment. Your local dealer is more than willing to offer you insurance advice and tips where to pick up reasonable insurance cover for their models –

Adeline Linton of Lintion’s Honda has agreed to offer its customers with a few hints and tips on 028 2565 2516.

We don’t expect any change in this situation in the near future, come on Honda – prove us wrong!
