Scratchers MCC Tragedy
The Motorcycle Action Group wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to friends and relatives of the Scratchers MCC who have lost two of its members in separate accidents just days apart.
Stuart McKee, 40, was killed as members in Markethill were organising a fundraiser for the family of Tony Lee who was killed in a motorcycling accident just nine days earlier. Members of the 50 strong riders club are struggling to cope with the tragedies and a number have put their bikes on the market.
Club Chairman Paul Rowland said they could not put their families through the pain and “horrendous suffering” they had seen in the last fortnight. Tony who was 44 had five children, Stuart had three.
In a cruel twist of fate the club’s committee had gathered to discuss an appropriate fundraising event for Mr Lee’s family when the unthinkable happened.
Scratchers MCC have now organised a special memorial Motorcycle Poker Run on Saturday 12th June. The event will get under way from Armagh Rugby Club and finish with a BBQ in Gosford Forest Park at 8pm. More details from Paul Rowland on 077 7855 9612.
