MAG Toy Run

Sunday 12th December sees the return of the annual Toy Run in aid of the Children’s Ward of the Ulster Hospital.

The run attracts on average 100 motorcyclists braving the elements to help children who have been unfortunate enough to spend the Christmas period in hospital. Originally organised by the Ancestors MCC the event has been organised by Belfast MAG for a number of years.

The run will leave the Railway Bar in Ballygowan at 12.30pm and make its way to the hospital to hand over the proceeds of the day. Cost is £3 per rider and a toy should also be brought along.

The charity run operated under the MAG banner in recent years although 2004 sees the return of the Ancestors MCC as the event organisers.

As stated this was originally an Ancestors event and MAG only stepped in as caretakers until such times as the Ancestors MCC were in the position to take control again and keep the annual Toy Run a success for all concerned and especially the children in the Ulster Hospital.
